Tulips, crocus, hyacinth, daffodils...Place bulbs shoulder to shoulder across the surface of the soil, leaving no space between them. top off with more potting soil so the bulbs are just slightly below the surface. Water each container thoroughly. finish with a layer of mulch. Leave pots outdoors for winter chilling. The more exposure to cold the better they’ll bloom.
What has to be considered in planning these displays? Timing: bloom time (early, mid and late). Color: Bright colors with dark, hot colors with cool, echo colors. Size: Arrange heights for best advantage at bloom time.
