Oh my goodness! This is such a clever idea for moms or teachers! Create a tattle jar for kids to put them in and a chart to help them decide if they were making good choices!! She has it printable here too
I think this is good for the frown ups too, when discussing things about the kids with others. Lets face it no kid likes it when people tell on them. Respect the child! - Nicky. Oh my goodness! This is such a clever idea for moms or teachers! Create a tattle jar for kids to put them in and a chart to help them decide if they were making good choices!! She has it printable here too.
I like this idea: tattling vs. reporting for preschoolers and elementary school kids.
Good guide for little kids or for social skills groups
Classroom management.. Tattle jar.. Great idea
Tattle Monster Lately we have been having a big problem with tattling, and it's driving me crazy! We have been trying very hard to teach the kids about the importance of working together, playing nicely and most important we don't need to know every little "she took my car" or "he won't share with me!" Introducing the newest addition to our family, Murry the Tattle Monster!

1st grade classroom management- this "tattle monster poem" will help your students to quietly tell him/her what is going on without making a big scene about it. In front of the tattle monster, a jar should be placed for the slips of paper written down.
Tattle Monster Poem. I like the idea of having a binder for kids to write their tattles in. I can read it after school, and take action if necessary (or at least be more in tune with the social going ons)
Tattle Monster Poem. I like the idea of having a binder for kids to write their tattles in. I can read it after school, and take action if necessary. In a first grade classroom students are quick to tattle. In order to keep my learning environment where I want it, tattles need to be eliminated so situations won't explode.
Tattle Monster Poem [make tattle monster from kleenex box to go w/ poem] Tattle monsters. Kids write down non-emergency tattles that can wait and put them in here. At the end of the day they decide if it's still important enough to bring to me.
Tattle Monster Poem. Cute and a good idea for allowing kids to still get their tattles out.

Toothpaste Squirt Lesson for teaching kids not to be rude and put down others. Have a student come to the front & squeeze all the toothpaste out. "If you think about putting others down, remember you can't take it back and it takes 10x as many compliments to bring them back up. So screw the lid back on!"

Toothpaste Squirt Lesson for teaching kids not to be rude and put down others. Ask a student to come squirt all toothpaste out into a plate. Then ask if they can put it back in the tube. Once a put down comes out of your mouth, you can't take it back.

Toothpaste Squirt Lesson for teaching kids not to be rude and put down others....OMG I did this on the first day of school and it really stuck with the kids Teaching Children Not to Be Rude!
Toothpaste Squirt Lesson for teaching kids not to be rude The most important skill that we can teach children to help them succeed in life is the ability to get along with others in society. To do that, it takes a village. If we fail, the rest of the world will let us know, and our kids will be subjected to a life of ridicule, isolation, and despair. As a teacher…you are your students’ coping instructor! Model politeness, say NO to rudeness and keep making a positive difference!
Could this be any cuter? Yoga for little ones. "I am a beautiful swan. My neck is graceful and long. Starting on my belly, I straighten my arms and bend my knees Folding myself backwards, but only as far as I please. I aim the top of my head toward my toes, Arching just as far as my back naturally goes."

This a great idea for students in Special education that have difficulty focusing, and get overwhelmed looking at the whole page.
Good Intervention. Cut a file folder into strips. The shorter the attention span, the smaller you will cut the strips. I cut this one into 3 parts. Students open 1 flap at a time and always begin at the top and work their way down. Students complete the work that they can see when a flap is open. Great idea.

I'm not a teacher but i love this letter to students hanging in a classroom. Could even do it for the kids' rooms at home!
It's one thing to say it. It's another thing to mean it. Kids know the difference, and when they know you mean it they will perform well for you in all areas. I wish all teachers knew this!

A helpful check-off list for early elementary grades when reporting student behavior to the teacher. - Never thought I would need this for middle school...
This would be a great poster for the classroom or even a great graphic organizer for kids to look at before reporting to the teacher.
Task 1- Shape behavior -Many teachers struggle with students tattling after recess and it often takes up a lot of time. This would be a good sign to have posted in the classroom and important to go over it with the students so they know they cannot tattle, only report if it is something that is even report worthy
For my teacher friends. Great anchor chart for Reporting vs. Tattling
