Sliding Screen Doors - The owners of this South Carolina home wanted a welcoming entry and loved the idea of keeping their front door open to enjoy the breeze while still keeping bugs at bay. The answer: sliding screened doors hung just inside the foyer, instead of outside the front entrance. Plus, the doors keep the entry and surrounding area open because there is no door swing.
I think they've mixed up Batman & Superman a bit here but I still get it and I think it's totally cool.
This would be a great way to screen the french door out to the back porch! That way (just like in the picture) when I open the french door in, we still have a screen barrier. It's a screened porch, but it's not totally bug (lizard, hornet, etc.) proof, so this wold add an extra layer of protection from critters getting inside, while still getting fresh air.
A rainbow of colours and looking like it's about to fall off its hinges - but there's a sense of whimsy and playfulness. It would be interesting to explore how to turn this concept can be turned into a design that encourages exploration and learning.
