Homemade Pop-Tarts from pie crust. Still not a breakfast food here but maybe a fun treat for the kids.

Homemade poptarts: I did this tonight. It is easy and tastes wonderful. I used my homemade jam.I always use Kroger brand refrigerated pie crust. It is still a dessert, maybe best for birthdays. My kids will have it for breakfast in the morning and they will be thrilled. I will make them drink a huge glass of milk. And the milk they drink and fruit I used in the fructose corn syrup-free jam will be the only redemptive qualities about it. Pie for breakfast : ) Yum!

These homemade pop tarts seem like just the thing to endear Grammie to the grandchildren! OK, so there is not much in the line of good nutrition but they sure look like a fun treat. I am thinking of all the wild Maine blueberries in my freezer. There must be some way to make a filling with them...
