Blooming onion- 3 large, sweet onions 3 cups flour 1 teaspoon cayenne 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/4 teaspoon pepper 3 eggs 1 cup milk oil for frying Make sure flour gets in between each of the petals. In another large bowl whisk together the eggs and milk. Shake off any excess flour. Dunk onion, cut side down, into the egg mixture. Flip get the egg mixture in between each petal. place the onion back in the flour mixture and coat it once again.
Bloomin' Onion Bread. Made this tonight stuffed with mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and oregano from the garden, and slices of red onion.
