I created these for my intermediate students and they really bought into it. I started off writing them myself, but as time passed we took the time to learn how to write sincere, detailed praise and thanks and it took off from there. Looks great on coloured paper and taped to the entrance of the classroom door. At the end of the year, pile up each student's 'shout-outs' and present them. I have pinned a couple other templates - for variety on the wall.

Spend the month of October introducing your students to creepy, freaky, and spooky short stories leading up to Halloween. These stories are always a huge hit with my students!

Uploaded as a Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and PDF document so you can make revisions that fit your students' needs or use as presentation. Attached are procedures and routines to keep your class running smoothly. The procedures are listed and then the steps are explained.

Before each lesson I pick a Mystery Student to watch for. They don’t know who I am “watching” out for. Sometimes during a lesson I say, "Wow! I wonder if my Mystery Student is totally on task!" All of a sudden, I have 15 pairs of eyes on me. If the Mystery Student follows the “rules” they receive a reward of some kind. If the Mystery Student does not follow the rules - a brief, vague discussion is had with the whole group about what we should be working on to earn "Mystery Student". Fun and easy
