The Pond, Urchfont Village, Wiltshire. The Pond existed by 1784 when it was drawn on a map made for the Duke of Queensberry. Until the 1930s it was an important part of village farming providing water for cattle and horses. Now it is an integral part of the charm of the quiet village scene and provides a home for a flock of ducks.

Striking small castle in the Cotswold of England. Labeled as being in "Halkyone Territory." Apparently at one time the lower section was underwater, probably was surrounded by a moat. The brick is pretty.

I love that moment at the end of a flight when you look out the airplane window and see a sight like this. My heart swells, and I can almost feel the contentment pouring into my body with every breath.
