We,the poor, perceive poverty as a social struggle that we fight everyday to end. Meanwhile, the rich views poverty as a weapon. A weapon that keeps them rich by exploiting the poor with a wage impossible to live with. The strongest weapon that allows them to remain in control. And most heartbreaking, this weapon continues to trigger violence among our own people in order to become less poor.

Read this every morning after you wake up... because mornings after a #breakup is the hardest time of the day.

We've got a poverty problem in this country, paired with leaders who won't even say the word "poverty," let alone solve the problem. We have a political class that is so far removed from the hardships of a normal life that they can't even connect with the middle class, let alone the poor. The pervasive dominance of money in politics has made it nearly impossible for the stories and hardships of the poor to make headway into the national conversations. Truth be told... Thank you corporate America for not paying a living wage so your employees don't need government assistance !!!

Don't let it happen || I don't know that it's Team Obama's "strategy for maintaining permanent power," but it is very likely their strategy for the crippling slow death of America as we have known it. It isn't the same country it was when Obama took office; the milieu of the nation has changed, and he has succeeded in undoing a great deal of the progress in race relations that was built over decades in just a few years.
