literary genre map by Pop Chart: So Pop Chart decided to look beyond these commonly accepted distinctions to see how the genres relate and where books belong based on content rather than commerce. “We went in with the idea that we were looking not at commercial distinctions, but instead peering deep into the text of the book, at almost the cellular level,” said Rachel Mansfield of Pop Chart.

Reason #23: "A school library is like the Bat Cave: it's a safe fortress in a chaotic world, a source of knowledge and the lair of a superhero. True, the superhero is more likely to be wearing a cardigan than a batsuit, but still..." These Are The 16 Attributes of The Modern Educator ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning
The Profile of a Modern Teacher: 21st century teachers are not experts in technology - they are experts in habits of mind.
Engaging in such a life-long learning journey entails that teachers develop a set of robust thinking habits that allow them to fit in the rapidly evolving educational landscape. These habits are, according to Reid Wilson, what make the profile of a modern educator. Below is an awesome visual created by Wilson featuring some of the characteristics of a modern teacher which I want to bring to your attention. #edtech
Growth mindset teachers:
Becoming a tech-savvy teacher is great. Running a flipped classroom is impressive. Doing a variety of hybrid and blended learning is incredible. Does this make you a modern teacher, though? Honestly, there’s more to it than just hopping on the latest education technology / education trends bandwagon. I know many teachers who throw an iPad into a classroom like a grenade and run away. They don’t successfully implement education technology or really any type of engaged learning for that matter.
