Prince Charles Princess Diana of Wales Wedding Dress

  • Taylor Lyle

It was one of the most watched television events of all time -- the royal wedding of Prince Charles to Princess Diana. Naturally, the dress had to be magnificent, so a young husband-and-wife designer team, David and Elizabeth Emanuel, created the famous ivory silk gown with the 25-foot long train for the 1981 wedding. The fitted bodice showed off Diana’s slim figure, but the gorgeous lace and regal adornments were truly befitting of the people’s princess.
