Free printable - The Skeletal System **Science Unit plan: skeletal system, lesson 1

flascards with picutres- good for teaching body parts - one group creates a silly "creature" using various parts (4 arms, 1 leg etc). another group has to describe it and write it down. or vice versa. Group one describes, group 2 creates

This is awesome. Will look at this to learn with a visual advantage-Thanks to clever person that designed it!

Let’s take a moment to remember one of the greatest writers of biology and natural science books for children and students: Dr. Herbert S. Zim (July 12, 1909 – December 5, 1994) is responsible for literally hundreds of texts about a plethora of subects, written in a manner that youth could understand.

Bones Art and Health 5th Grade Have the kids draw a skeleton and then color it. Then write all the bones listed here and then I would play a game with remembering all the bones.

This would be a fun activity on the magnet board - have a skeleton with all the bones separate to be put together

I wanna be an xray tech when I grow up so I'll have to remember all this!

bone gloves- great way to explain the purpose of bones
