I like this idea. Start the year with an empty jar and fill it with notes about good things that happen. Then, on New Years Eve, empty it and see what awesome stuff happened that year. Good way to keep things in perspective. We are doing this for our first year of marriage--a memory jar. Then on our one year anniversary, we'll read them all.

Would make a great Christmas gift for family members...or for all those December hostess gifts you need! Just decorate them and add the "first" memory! Good way to keep things in perspective. - maybe next year? Also a cute idea to do for a deployed parent ... write each new or good thing the child or children did and date it for them to read when they get home My personal note: could use as year end wrap highlight reel for family (in rl or v book)
