Tremoctopus violaceus by Katarina M. Mangold, Richard E. Young and Michael Vecchione: The blanket octopus is characterized by two longer arms which are connected by an extensive web. (The slender tips of the arms can be seen at the arrow.) These arms and web can be used to distract or cling to a predator and can break off along fracture lines in a way similar to a lizard's tail.
