Great way to take attendance especially if you have kids who go to speech, resource, OT, gifted, etc first thing in the morning. Got it from Scholastic's "Classroom Management in Pictures".

Cute idea to post outside the classroom door whenever we leave. Can have line leader be responsible for this or have it as a second job.

Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.
