"In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage."

I have finally read this book, after meaning to for years, and am glad that I did. I really enjoy the opportunity to read a book that teaches me about a period or event in history that I only knew about vaguely before reading it, and this book was no exception. You can really see parallels in other periods of history, both within and outside of the US in this story - it's kind of timeless in a way.

The Grapes of Wrath - An incredibly moving story about a Midwest family forced to move west during the Great Depression. Beautifully shot with incredible acting.

The Outlander Series. Love these books. If you're into recorded books that's the best way to enjoy Outlander. Davina Porter is a great narrator.

  • Germaine Rosenquist

I agree, she makes you feel as though you are in the middle of the story. I won't look for anyone else to narate any books.

  • Lori Maxwell (Sears)

    Davina Porter is amazing.

  • Sassy Kat

I completely agree. Love the narration. I have to read and listen to them

  • Bobbi Castle

Have read the series and listened to the first one on tape. Plan to get the rest on tape too. You're right about Davina Porter!
