“Cappy” - is the name of the cute black stray that Dr. Bianucci is taking care of right now. They named him Cappy because he was a Charleston Animal Society puppy. He is a sweet and adorable fellow - he was hit by a car and someone got him to the shelter. Right now Dr. Bianucci is doing surgery on a broken hip, leg, and a castration. Blessings for Cappy!

Izzy is a one year old female Labradoodle who was bitten by a snake yesterday afternoon. Her regular veterinarian then transferred her to us for continued care, including Antivenin and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). This morning Izzy is feeling much better and is ready to return home on oral medications. Another example of great team-work amongst owner, regular veterinarian, and our emergency department.

Every day I post about the pets in our hospital and their journey's. Today, I am the client & worried pet parent. The patient is my dachshund, Carmine. He has an eye that no longer produces tears and as I write this, is being removed. So I post as a pet mom! I am texting my daughter who loves this dog more than anything updates. I put all my faith in the amazing staff, Lindsay ER technician and Dr. Kelli Klein! At this moment I completely relate to each and every client we have ever seen!

Veterinary Assistant, Raegan, had 4 Great Danes so keeping her from cuddling up with Otis while he recovered was an impossible task. Otis wasn't complaining either!
