I loved the Ramona books when I was little. This was the cover of the book I bought from the Scholastic Book Club when I was in the 3rd grade. (Still have it too!) The new ones don't hold a candle to it.

During a period of 2-3 years, I would bring Richard Scarry books from the school library and read them (in great detail) while having lunch made by my grandmother...she gave me chopped bananas with vanilla ice cream for dessert and to this day, I always remember my grandma and these books when I eat that...

ha, I used to love these!! ..but now I wonder, how could someone pitch that idea?? "I got it. Pretend BAND-AIDS for kids to chew. -no, no, like gum. They'll love it. Kids are nasty. right??"
