The Fangtooth (Anoplogaster cornuta) has the largest teeth of any fish in the ocean, proportionate to body size and althought frightening in appearance is actually quite small and harmless to humans, the larger species measuring about 18cm in length. It is among the deepest-living fish found as far as 5,000 m down. They may undergo diet migrations, remainin in the gloomy depths by day, and rising to the upper layers of the water column to feed by starlight. Photo by Citron, wikipedia #Fangtooth
