General McClellan was born on December 3rd, 1826, in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania. McClellan was the first Union General. However due to his lack of following direction, General McClellan was removed from his position and was replaced. McClellan ,however, played a significant role in the Civil War. He led the Army of Potomac to victory against Lee and the Conferate Army. He also preserved the Union by not letting Kentucky succeed. McClellan died on October 29th, 1885.
