A Hilarious Study of the Science of Death: Stiff, by Mary Roach

Mary Todd Lincoln: Daughter of the founders of Lexington, Ky raised in a world of frontier violence. Abandoned at 6 when her mother died, Mary fled a hostile stepmother for Springfield, met and married the Illinois attorney, Abraham Lincoln. Their marriage lasted 25 years until his assassination, from which Mary never fully recovered. The desperate measures she took to win the acknowledgement she sought all her life led finally to the shock of a public insanity hearing. Good book!

Book about what happens to your body after you die. So interesting and funny! Another book of hers, Bonk, is also good!

The way this story unfolds is incredibly captivating. I can see why the hold list for it at the library was so long. I LOVED it.
