    Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa... Spa house. #architecture #design #southafrica #spahouse #spa #house

Modern home architecture usually focuses on a certain type of construction material, or  tries to make the most of a design theme. However, this contemporary residence envisioned by Metropolis Design and entitled Spa House was developed in strong connection to a different type of element: water. Located in a coastal suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, this spectacular looking building is multi-functional and houses living, recreational and spa facilities.

i'm getting relaxed just looking at this...

Sunroom/Atrium. I see this scaled down to a Large bedroom size in an upper corner of the house where three sides and roof are windows. Then, a large shallow tub or two long slender ones could be installed and connected to the plumbing that would allow you to then plant and water plants. Just add coffee station, book shelf, and seating.

looking up at the stars every night and the rain/thunderstorms would be amazing -thats awesome

A company called Blandito has designed a circular, foldable pillow that can be manipulated into many shapes (bed, chair, cubbies of different kinds.) Extra larges for adults as well as children's size. I can see this being great biofeedback for sensory averse/craving children. Too bad it's still in the design phase!

I really love this idea, however, the idea of cramming books in there like that? A bit painful for me. It's not nearly "organized" enough.

Breakfast nook down stairs and master bedroom walk out porch upstairs! Love love love!

Hidden TV. neat idea, don’t like my TVs on display for all the world to see…or be the central focus of the room decor
