So many great Steinbeck books, but this is a great one.

A classic. I can't believe I didn't see the end coming.it was foreshadowed enough. It is interesting to read a book written in another time just to get a sense of what living used to be like.

The Books of Ember Series (ages 9 and up). I didn't like book 3 (The Prophet of Yonwood) and felt like it was preachy and didn't contribute anything to the series. The other three books were great!
