Explore Reading Loft, Reading Tree, and more!

a tree house/loft but it is on the ground in the classroom. This maybe the alternative I have been looking for. Love it!

"The Magic Tree House" . fun reading corner loft built on the ground level to be safer. (Notice the rope ladder and tree.) - make with kids in playroom?

How neat!! a "treehouse" as a reading corner in the classroom!!

Corner reading loft had dual purpose. Could be a 'Tree House' with the addition of a tree & leaves in the corner.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Adorable classroom decor (from the ceiling or wall) that you could make with our paper lanterns!

MIGHT USE THIS IDEA - Very Hungry Caterpillar Mobile. Hang lanterns red, 6 in two shades of green) with different lengths of fishing line. Use pipe cleaners for antennae, and construction paper for eyes and nose. Very cool in a children's library space.

book corner- I would love to set one up in the preschool room with a selection of books linking to the stories and/or theme for the term, books that would be shared and used through the term and changed each term.

Book corner - Comfortable coaches and carpet for the children to read on with the sunlight sun shining in the room.

Play campfire: build in classroom and have kids sit around and share out stories they have written. Could even have s'mores. Could use for writing celebration

"play campfire: build in classroom and have kids sit around and share out stories they have written. Could even have s'mores." I like this idea for singing campfire songs in the classroom :)

Classroom Library - Read in the Beehive // so many fond memories of our teepee in 2nd grade, every kid should have a reading fort!

Dalene Norenberg A beehive reading area! It starts out kind of looking like a circus tent, but a beehive is the finished product. This is something we could both have in our classrooms!

This teacher made a fun reading area in her classroom by creating a colorful reading tree. She designed this tree using an umbrella as the top part of the tree.

The Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree is made from a carpet roll (free from local carpet store) tube wrapped in brown butcher paper, stuck in a Christmas tree stand. The top is an umbrella covered with green leaves.
