    Roy Rogers (1911-1998), was an American singer and cowboy actor, and was the namesake of the Roy Rogers Restaurants franchised chain. He and his wife Dale Evans (1912-2001) married in 1947 and were featured in more than 100 movies and The Roy Rogers Show. The show ran on radio for nine years before moving to television from 1951 through 1957. Dale wrote their famous theme song "Happy Trails." Roy's nickname was "King of the Cowboys". Dale's nickname was "Queen of the West." .... LOVE these two, even to this day...Bless them both, they were great, kind people in real life.
