I made this tonight and WOW, yummo! Daddy and Danny loved it... I used the same substitution (mayo) but no gruyere just double mozz. Also did not measure the seasonings, just eyeball it you can't mess it up it's delicious. Sugar & Spice by Celeste: Paula Deen's Squash Casserole
Paula Deen's Green Bean Casserole -- I made this for Thanksgiving and it was out-of-this-world delicious!!! The extra fresh onions cooked in butter and the cheese improved this traditional dish so much! I will be making it again for Christmas, and will ONLY make THIS green bean casserole recipe from now on!
Yields 6 servings, recipe can be doubled. Paula Deens Green Bean Casserole is the best i've ever made! It's all I make now for the holidays...my family asks me to bring it! and sadly, we never have any left to take home :)
