spiral web

I love spider webs. Once, I was lucky enough to watch a large garden spider build it's web. It was awesome. I would love the chance to watch a spider build one like this!

The golden ratio (phi) in nature

Are Spirals a Sign of a Sacred Design? The Golden Spiral plays a harmonizing role in the Universe. It represents two well known shapes in sacred geometry: the golden mean or golden ratio (phi) spiral and the Fibonacci spiral.

FERN - Mother Nature is incredibly beautiful. Just look at this fern. This is a Fibonacci spiral, or ratios if you've heard about them. The pattern is throughout nature.

The center of a sunflower and the families of spirals made correspond precisely to numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. Here is an informative link for more detail: http://www.maths.surrey.ac.uk/hosted-sites/R.Knott/Fibonacci/fibnat.html#seeds

Golden Mean or Fibonacci series. The number of clockwise and counterclockwise spirals in a sunflower are always two consecutive Fibonacci numbers.

Was haben Sonnenblume, Tannenzapfen, Ananas, Walzen-Wolfsmilch gemeinsam?

A mathematician in the Fibonacci figured out long ago that there were specific mathematical patterns in nature. You can see patterns everywhere in nature
