This brought a tear to my eye... Meet Sir Stuffington, a one eyed kitty who survived a raccoon attack. When he was turned into Multnomah County Animal Services, they discovered that he had calicivirus, a severe flea infestation, a heart murmur, a missing eye and a possible jaw fracture that has since healed. He was left with a smile resembling a pirate – a very cute pirate!
While the bald eagle is still protected by federal law, countless raptors are injured or shot each year. Those that survive are sent to a rehabilitation program at the Great Plains Zoo in conjunction with the Game, Fish and Parks Department.
