"If only more people took time to do this for their children!!! "What I love is that each morning, Charlotte and Amelia rush to their envelopes to see what we've written. The notes are sometimes a simple observation of a charitable act or a quick drawing to make them laugh. I love that Charles and I force ourselves to take a minute each evening to think about why we love our children. It's my version of Oprah's gratitude journal." Awesome idea!

Make Your Own Table Playhouse

Make Your Own Table Playhouse

Really cute idea (playhouse slipcover to put over a small table to make a fort). I your mom could make one of these lickety split. Voila - your dining room table is is a play house!

A lady at the post office taught me this trick and I have realized very few people know about it! You can turn a flat rate envelope into a pouch to increase the capacity. It holds more than a small flat rate box ($5.80) and about as much as a medium ($12.35) for only $5.60. So worth it! I do this all the time! Just fold the bottom both ways, and flatten it out from the inside, folding the corners and taping them up into a rectangular bottom. Secure with lots of tape. Happy shipping!
