The Great Gatsby (1925) by F. Scott Fitzgerald, first edition book cover She had been a shy mousy haired girl in my senior English class, but she had helped me out a lot on homework and trying to understand Shakespeare and The Great Gatsby. I smiled at her, and chuckled a little. Mousy and shy was not how I would describe her now.

books worth reading The exemplary novel of the Jazz Age, F. Scott Fitzgerald's third book, The Great Gatsby (1925), stands as the supreme achievement of his career. T.S. Eliot read it three times and saw it as "the first step" American fiction had taken since Henry James; H.L. Mencken praised "the charm and beauty of the writing," as well as Fitzgerald's sharp social sense; and Thomas Wolfe hailed it as Fitzgerald's "best work" so far. "Whenever you feel like criticizing any one...just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had"

Collection of short stories by F.Scott Fitzgerald. Nobody talks about his short stories, but I really enjoy them. My favorite from this collection is "Bernice Bobs Her Hair". I also love "Winter Dreams", but it is not included in this collection.

Tender is the Night, F. Scott Fitzgerald an incredibly vivid and descriptive writer in a time of excess. Fitzgerald's most sentimental novel

It's hard to imagine liking anything besides the original, but I love the silhouette and how type is incorporated.

Everything about this is wonderful (except the actual book. I'm not that keen on the book)

Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Poems. London: F. S. Ellis, 1870 Binding: Cobden-Sanderson

Cover of Marguerite Duras's (French Authot & Auteur) 'Hiroshima Mon Amour' who also wrote the screenplay for the film directed by Alain Resnais.

I love The Great Gatsby to pieces but this book made me into a Fitzgerald obsessive. It's so, so dark and bleak, and yet utterly glamorous and seductive. You can't help be attracted by that kind of lifestyle, even though there's something sinister just beneath. Beautiful ♥
