Jesus appeared several times to His disciples during the forty days after His resurrection. He ate with them and gave them His last, important commands (John 20:19-31; Luke 24:13-53; Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:9-20; Acts 1:3).
Jesus foretold this experience in John 3:5 when He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." This verse alone establishes the absolute necessity of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His" (Rom 8:9). Christ actually comes and takes up His abode in a human body (temple). That body becomes the very temple of the Almighty God.
It is the Lord Who goes before you; He will march with you; He will not fail you or let you go or forsake you; let there be no cowardice or flinching, but fear not, neither become broken in spirit--depressed, dismayed, and unnerved with alarm. (Deuteronomy 31:8 AMP)
