So I made these using 2 cans of Pillsbury biscuits, I also added split the sugar 50:50 between brown and white sugar. If you do use 2 cans of biscuits this is how I made it - 1 5layer muffin and 4 3layer muffins. I also had a lot of sugar left over, so I added a small teaspoon of the sugar mixture over the top of each muffin.

Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins- I made these last night 3/8/13 and we ate them for breakfast. Followed the recipe exactly except I only made 1/2 the recipe. I made 9 muffins, but could have made only 8 if I had topped off the others. There is a reason to make sure you fill the muffin pan 3/4 full. When you get to dip in butter & sugar, much easier if muffin has a tall top. Batter will be thick-don't be tempted to thin. WOW - so good
