Papaya - Ginger Smoothie Ingredients 2 1/2 cups papaya (Solo or Mexican) chunks 1 cup ice cubes 2/3 cup nonfat plain yogurt 1 tablespoon finely chopped peeled fresh ginger 1 tablespoon honey Juice of 2 lemons 16 fresh mint leaves, plus 4 sprigs for garnish
In a blender, combine 2 cups fresh almond milk, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder, 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves and 1/2 cup ice cubes. Blend until smooth and garnish with shredded coconut. Serves 2. Coconut oil is a healthy fat, according to Dr. Roizen, and spinach is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, so you get two doses of healthy fats in one delicious serving.
Orange, Date and Coconut Smoothie for One 1 orange, 5 dates, ¼ c boiling water, ½ frozen banana, ½ c fat free Greek yogurt, 2 tbsp coconut milk, 1 scoop vanilla flavored whey protein powder, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, 1 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut. Boil dates for 9 minutes. Peel orange, cut into 10 pieces. Process all until smooth (1 min).
