Faberge eggs- I had prepped them with a ribbon around the plastic egg, then at the event they had a choice of stick on gems or sequins to add. We used tacky glue and paintbrushes, and each girl had a paper plate to try and contain the mess!
She tried Turkish delight (loved!), Fanta, played Mancala, watched some slides, and learned a bit about the country.
For the older girls, we took wooden eggs for them to decorate- sequins were left over from the younger girls, so some scouts blinged them out with sequins and gems.
Pysanky demonstration- the girls loved it!
Pelmeni and sour cream- kids loved the pelmeni, not too many tried the sour cream part. I bought these from the International Market ( Baltimore)

Charlotte Russe snack- whoops! This is the only picture we got, before it was assembled....but did two ladyfingers, a dollop of pudding, a spoonful of cool whip, and the girls loved it. Took a little liberty with the authentic recipe, but it got the job done.

Girl Scout Kaper Chart - Used Cricut to cut felt bonded to heat bond for letters, paper trefoil stencil for large size and felt glue. Girl name tags are cut using Cricut and then laminated with Velcro on back to stick but still removable.
Ukrainian Flower headdresses we took a double length of green floral wire and twisted it into a circle. Then- cut silk flowers into individual blooms, and took floral tape to attach them. Add two satin ribbons in the back for some extra flair.

For an intereactive activity, we taught the girls the Russian folks tale "The Turnip" and the girls got great giggles out of it.( and take a look at how the girls are wearing the headdresses.
