For our homeless friends...a Blessing Bag:) water, fruit cup, fork, gronola bar, trail mix, breakfast bar, slim jim, mini cookies, gum, tooth paste, toothbrush, lotion, shampoo, listerine, & hand sanitizer. Included notecard with shelters & food & a happiness quote with some money
One small way to make a difference: keep a bag of goodies in your car that you can give away to people you see who are less fortunate. Putting together the bags is also a great way to teach kids to have compassion on the poor and think of creative ways to help.
Another wonderful take on the "Blessing Bags" for the homeless . . ."Blessing Bag for Homeless or those in need - I use the nylon drawstring backpacks from the dollar tree and always keep a few in my car. We donated some to a local business with a lot of homeless patrons. I also include about a dollar in change."
