Homemade Oreos. These are great!! Not quite like store Oreos, but better. If you want crunchy, flatten cookies so they are pretty thin. For soft, underbake by about a minute. Yum! Also - didn't use shortening for filling, used all butter. Big hit!

Homemade Oreos: Ingedrients ― For the chocolate wafers ~ all-purpose flour; unsweetened Dutch process cocoa; baking soda; baking powder; salt; sugar; butter; egg. For the filling ~ butter; vegetable shortening; sugar; vanilla extract. Instructions ― Make the cookie dough; bake; cool. Make the filling. Assemble the cookies. #Cookies #Oreo
