This would be a great way for students to understand the concept of dividing a "whole group" into parts.

Students come in and pick a math fact from a chart she has posted on the wall.  On their paper, they then write all the facts in that fact family, the meaning of the fact, the part-part-whole model, a pictorial representation, and the number line.  S

This is a poster dealing with place value. I would use this in my classroom to hang in the classroom so children could refer back to it while working on expanded form and place value.

Ms. Smith's Interactive Notebook - doing this especially for the factoring/multiples concepts. I always get that mixed up. Love that she uses visuals with the letters to help in remembering.

Good advice for parents. Skip count with them. Practice time tables in the car. The more they know going into middle school, the more prepared they will be for algebra.
