Bookfession 922. Books I've read feel like experiences I once had, and the characters in them the friends I've lost.

There was a book series I read called Rangers Apprentice and I cried so much when I was done with it even though it was a happy ending...Then the author came out with an extra book and these like archaeologist people find an old book about stuff that happened in between books and I had to shut the book and cry because it meant that all my favorite characters had actually died and I couldn't take it and Oh man I'm crying....

That's why it's so hard to get my attention when I'm reading. I am MENTALLY in another world.

If somebody locked me alone in Barnes and Noble with a credit card, it would be the best Christmas ever!

I'm not against Kindles at all, but I suspect I'll always prefer paper books. Holding them, flipping the pages, smelling them, feeling the paper, everything.

Bookfession 961. When your recommended book has been acknowledged.

Notes on being an only child: I didn't have imaginary friends. I lived in novels and the characters were my friends.

BOOK hangover- what do you mean I have to wait 3 years for the next book in the series?

People on tumblr are amazing. This is totally worth the read, okay? I highly recommend it. Just find time to read this.

...reminds me of evenings when I'm home alone. When my eyes stop focusing I know it's time to go to bed. [It's often hard to get up for work the next day though...]

Adventure. I love adventure stories. While most teens were reading romance novels I was standing in Hogwarts with Harry, and walking in Narnia with Aslan. I love to go different places and meet those people. You feel welcomed to their world, when you feel so unwelcomed in this one. It's a wonderful thing.
