David Hicks contends that the classical tradition promotes a spirit of inquiry that is concerned with the development of style and conscience, which makes it an effective and meaningful form of education. Dismissing notions that classical education is elitist and irrelevant, Hicks argues that the classical tradition can meet the needs of our increasingly technological society as well as serve as a feasible model for mass education.

Another look at the Classical homeschool model. It contains a great idea for studying geography, and a different look at classical than WTM.

The Well-Trained Mind: A Guide to Classical Education at Home (Third Edition) Excellent book. I base our homeschool schedule off this book for the most part. Of course I tweak it, who doesn't? :)

If you are interested in how best to help a young child, this is a great book to read. This book was instrumental in me deciding to home school!
