Love this! I need to keep my goals in front of me so I don't lose my focus. So, I use sticky notes - but I use them too much, actually. They start piling up on my desk and I lose track of them. I like picking 6 goals to spotlight on stickies and focusing on them. This is a great way to accomplish that...the Rotating Goal List!

3 quick craft ideas
Rachel of Cornflower Blue Studio is a very talented woman who makes many crafts, many of which are crocheted and embroidered. I have never actually learned to crochet, but one of her DIY projects that is not crocheted is fairly simple and easy for me to do, so I thought i'd share it; the Rotating Goal List. "Here's an easy way to keep track of the every-rotating lists of goals we all have! You'll need post-it notes, a pencil, markers, a ruler, and an 11 x 14 inch piece of bristol board or heavy card stock. Start by sketching out a simple layout with your pencil. I left a half-inch border around the entire design, then added a 4.5 x 10 inch rectangle at the top of the page. Use the bottom section of the page to add six three inch squares, evenly spaced. And one more square inside the rectangle, too! Now you can use your markers to fill in the design with lettering, doodles, borders, or whatever you like! Next you need to decide on the time frame for your goals - are these weekly goals, things you want to accomplish this month, this season? It's up to you, and you can always change it because you can switch out the post-it note whenever you like. I decided to make my goals for the week this time. Now fill in your goal squares with more post-its. You can put the most pressing goals first, and order the rest in terms of importance. Remove the goals as they are accomplished so you can keep track of your progress : ) I used a little silver clip to hang my list where I can see it as I work." I also made one of these! For the summer, I've started to save mine in a little tiny box, so by the end of the summer, I can look back and reflect on what goals i've achieved in a season. I think it's pretty important not to just focus on what you need to fix, but also what you've completed. It makes life just a bit more posative! Anyway, here's my version! : I decided to make mine smaller and used half-sized sticky notes instead of regular ones. Also, I decided to draw a little picture on all of the sticky notes! Feel free to drop a wonderful comment and send me a link to one of yours that you made! Until next time! -Mags, xoxo p.s.: sources: http://cornflowerbluestudio.blogspot.com/2012/02/diy-rotating-goal-list.html All pictures, captioning and ideas originated from Rachel and can be found on the source above.

20 Painted Projects Ideas to Make this Weekend!
Since Sam was born, life has been a bit more chaotic. I feel like when I actually have a minute or two to DO something, I don’t know where to start so I end up getting NOTHING done at all!! It’s really frustrating sometimes. Enter The Weekly Daily Goals Board!! I had this board that was meant to be an FHE board from a craft day activity. But I never got around to finishing it besides painting it red!! So I brushed off the dust and painted it with Chalkboard Paint. Then I cut out white vinyl lettering and put the days of the week on it. The idea is that every day I will have 3 things I want to accomplish that day (big or small, doesn’t matter) and I will write each one on a post-it. Then as I complete that thing I will take off the post-it. If I didn’t get it done, I can leave it there or move it to another day. *I painted the board with Chalkboard Paint in case I decided to scrap the post-its and just write them down with chalk sometimes. This will be good because then when Sam goes down for a nap or both boys are finally in bed for the night, I can look there to see what to work on if I didn’t already have something to do in mind. I’ve been pretty good getting projects done here and there, but I think this will help me stay focused even more! I’m so excited to have it done, now I just need to hang it up! *Another note* I used this awesome trick of putting push-pins in the bottom to prop it up off the newspaper while painting it! It worked like a charm! The paint doesn’t glue your board to the newspaper that way and it is SO easy to do I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before!

"Sticky Note Calendar:Make a monthly calendar that is as changeable as your schedule. Instead of crossing out plans as dates shift, just move the notes and stack them up on busy days. Start with a 26 1/2-inch square sheet of Masonite fiberboard. Spray-paint it white, and let dry. Then use tape (we suggest easy-to-reposition washi tape) to create a seven-by-seven grid of three-inch squares." -Martha Stewart.com
