Tender Is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald is set in France and is some of the most beautiful prose ever put to paper.

I've heard people challenging the notion that this book is Science Fiction. If it's not, then it deserves it's own genre. It was so good and so different in so many ways.

Timeless, philosophical and evocative. The poetry shines and if you read with your heart, you might learn a thing or two.

I expected to not like this book because the first few pages in 5 y/o child speak was hard to understand but it got better as the storyline got deeper. I had to find out what happened so it was one of those "read in one day" books. Makes me want to play with my own kids more too because sometimes I feel like those "rushed adults" in the outside world he was describing.
