A room that looks like the inside of a swimming pool

Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created this illusion of people walking underwater called The Swimming Pool, for The Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan. It's a piece of glass with water on top of it, and empty space on the bottom.

Check out the new Mumbai Apartment complex The Aquaria Grande, with its Floating Balcony Pools. Designed by Hong Kong architect James Law, the plans for this incredible dream residence actually have swimming pools in the place of balconies.

Leandro Erlich is known for installations that seem to defy the basic laws of physics and befuddle the viewer, who is introduced into jarring environments that momentarily threaten a sense of balance or space. For this exhibition, Erlich presents one of his most well-known and critically acclaimed pieces, Swimming Pool.

Swimming Pool by Leandro Erlich. Fully clothed people walk and breathe beneath the surface of a full sized swimming pool. A large, continuous piece of acrylic spans the pool and suspends water above it, creating the illusion of a standard swimming pool.

The deepest pool in the world, named the Y-40 Deep Joy, the pool is now the star attraction at the Hotel Millepini, located in the Montegrotto Terme resort area, near Venice. Reaches a depth of 42 meters (138 feet), a space that could easily accommodate a 13-story building

World's deepest indoor diving pool. Situated in Belgium, the Nemo 33 pool, is the world’s deepest recreational diving pool. It has a depth of just over 100 ft (approx 33 m).
