A few varieties of Huechera particularly suited for fall designs include Amber Waves (shown), which has striking amber and orange leaves, and Chocolate Ruffles, with deep burgundy to purple leaves. Heuchera works nicely with strappy grasses and finely textured plants like Solidago or asparagus fern.

Huechera Dolce Creme Brulee...TonyaW - common plant name Cora(l) Bell was my grandmother's name, and that alone makes this plant one of my favorites. Pair that with the fact that they are drought resistant, grow well in heavy shade, cold resistant, bloom and change colors all through spring, winter and fall, are perennial, mound and spread, and come in tones of varieties...what's not to love?!
Heuchera 'Electra' is a shocker, with bright golden leaves veined in red. The veins stay red through the season, while the leaves come on yellow in spring, morph to chartreuse in summer and fall, then tan over the winter.
