accountable talk for math... idea for a station in math workshop?

  • A'Lece Boomsma

Accountable Talk for Math - Question and statement starters for students to engage in meaningful discussion about math. Instead of the teacher making them, perhaps introduce each question and have the kids make their own themselves... that way they are familiar with the questions and express them in their own way! Each time math talk time comes around, students could be required to ask 2 questions out of their deck of cards... a conversation starter/continuer!
