Weimaraner. A dog that was originally bred for hunting in the early 19th century. Weimaraners were used by royalty for hunting large game such as boar, bear, and deer. Also called "ghost dog" because of their silvery gray color, they tend to "disappear" from view at dusk and dawn.
Pet Photography Tips- this will come in handy once I start snapping pics of all my furry shelter friends waiting for their homes. Statistics show that dogs waiting to be adopted have a better chance of finding a home if their picture is taken outside the kennel.
I met my first Weimaraner as a child. Jemma belonged to the owners of our local pet shop, where we would go for birdseed, fish food, and supplies for our own English Springer Spaniel. And she lay around just like this. I was taken by the gem-like quality of her eyes and coat.
