Homemade Horchata ~freeze it for 2 hours or until barely frozen for a slushy-ice cream treat; add 1 ounce of Baileys, Kahlua, or Vanilla Vodka, etc. to 4 to 6 ounces of Horchta and ice cubes, shake/stir and serve. use all that homemade Kahula.yum
homemade almond joys 3/4 cup dried flaked coconut (unsweetened, if you can find it. If not, use the regular shredded coconut. I used the regular shredded in the picture—that’s why it’s so white.) 3-4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 bag of milk chocolate chips (Ghiardelli or Guittard brands) 1/4 cup toasted almonds
i love me some Horchata...a milky sweet rice drink with a hint of cinnamon. My favorite local Mexican restaurant serves these and they are so delish. My husband, who is Hispanic, of course drinks these like they are going out of style.
