Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.
Orange peel infused white vinegar for better-smelling natural cleaner (also gets a boost from the citrus oil). Let sit up to 2 weeks, strain, and dilute with water in spray bottle (3/4 water, 1/4 orange-vinegar).
DIY citrus vinegar cleaner. Fill a jar with citrus peel, cover with vinegar, set aside for two weeks. Strain, mix 50/50 with water, or stronger or weaker for specific use. GREAT grease cutter in the kitchen. I'm hooked and starting another batch.
homemade floor cleaner: 1 c. water, 1 c. vinegar, 1 c. rubbing alcohol, 1 tbs. dish soap or castile soap(it will fizz*) and a few drops of pine essential oil. I put in empty Swiffer Wet Jet bottle( yes you can reuse!) & it works magic! Hardly any scrubbing! Make sure you add the alcohol to avoid streaks!
HOMEMADE CLEANER: Ingredients: 1 c ammonia 1/2 c white vinegar 1 gallon warm water 1/4 c baking soda Directions: Mix together in a bucket until everything is dissolved. Pour into a spray bottle. Cost: Vinegar: $.12; Water: free; Ammonia: $.12; Baking Soda: $.25. Total Cost: $.50 per two bottles of cleaner, or $.25 per bottle of cleaner
