valance over shutters - window treatment....

great idea for windows that are close to the sidewalk. creates privacy but still lets light in!

I love this idea of using a painted barn wood sign as a window treatment

ON TRACK “This door was a fabulous Angie Tyner [A. Tyner Antiques] find that is very old. It's in its original state—not even the iron on it has been touched up. But it weighs a ton! So we built a track above it that allows it to easily slide back and forth like a barn door.”

Decorative Details Oversize hardware, a rich cherry finish on the cabinetry, and a glass tile backsplash create an upscale look in this kitchen. A bright floral window treatment adds a refreshing splash of color in an otherwise neutral space. Below, a large stainless-steel sink and commercial-look faucet are perfect for gourmet cooking.

Another renter friendly project. I covered my kitchen cabinets with contact paper. Looks good but would have been cooler if I had made my own pattern like this.

Painted window films - here are some decorative window films that are easy to change, replace, move, etc. if you don’t feel super comfortable with your drawing skills, you can easily print out images or text and trace them onto the contact paper.

Line the back of the shelves with toile covered foam boards - easy to swap over when changing the decor

diy window treatment must do this! That's been my life quote since I was a little girl when my Momma used to say that all the time! I'm totally going to do this!
