t is for thanksgiving Turkey Card {turkeys and pumpkin pie and being thankful}

The Iowa Farmer's Wife: Thankful Turkey- couldn't this just be a daily reminder and not need one special day per year to be thankful for the things and people in our lives?!

Thanksgiving craft: Start with the turkey's face by folding four punched brown card-stock circles in half and gluing the folds back-to-back to create the fanned head shape. Add an orange card-stock beak, a red card-stock wattle, and two googly eyes for facial features. Then ask your kids to write things they are thankful for on a variety of colored card-stock strips and attach them to the back of the folded-over bag top.

FREEBIE: "I am thankful for..." {from Melonheadz} Sally, the artist is my friend who also drew the special birthday Emmy on the zebra! :) These would be cute to print out for the kids on Turkey day.

This just inspired a Halloween prayer/poem: Thank you for the bats above us, the corpse below us, and the demons within us. ~ Cari'ssa Karol-Chik 9/7/12
