Eric Berne's Games People Play published in the 1960's, started the Transactional Analysis (TA) school of therapy. The best part of TA for me has been the what Kurt Vonnegut called "the brilliant, amusing, and clear catalogue of the psychological theatricals that human beings play over and over again."
