Little Women:My First Book reading on my Ipod.

No list of favorite reads would ever be complete for me without this classic. Little Women is my favorite book of all time. I know to a young reader today, it might be passe, but to me it's timeless. A close-knit family of 4 very individual and different sisters, struggling to deal with every day hardships that include having their dear father away at war. Hmmm maybe not so outdated themes. This is one I've read numerous times over the years, and am sure to enjoy again. I may just read Little Men and Jo's Boys again! :-)

    great Christmas movie

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott [favorite quote: Let us be elegant or die!]

I remember at Lakewood Elementary, I read this book as part of the Accelerated Reader program, and it was worth 36 points. The same reason I read The Hobbit. Thanks, AR, for making me the nerd I am today.

Little Women I named my oldest daughter "Laurie" after the kind boy next door to the March family in this book.

Little Women. "Four women, taught by weal and woe to love and labor in their prime. Four sisters, parted for an hour, none lost, one only gone before, made by love's immortal power, nearest and dearest evermore."

Little Women-In picturesque nineteenth-century New England, tomboyish Jo, beautiful Meg, fragile Beth, and romantic Amy come of age while their father is off to war.

This is a classic story of sisterly love, compassion and goodness. It was also one of the first novels that I read to myself as a little girl.

"Some books are so familiar that reading them is like being home again." Louisa May Alcott

Little Women. This is the exact cover I had when I was a little girl. I didn't have sisters. This was the best that I could do. These girls were my 'fantasy sisters,' and I guess they still are. I read it so many times that it finally fell apart. I still love it.

LIttle women. I don't think I have ever seen so much joy and pain wrapped up into one movie. Loved the book!
